On Site machining repairs is deployed when the machinery is too large, complex, or costly to remove from its assembly; OR, when removing the machinery work piece would result in down time causing a larger expense than machining the work piece in place using on site portable machining.  Custom On-Site portable machining tools are specially manufactured to mill, bore, face, hone, or drill the work piece while it remains on line, in place or on site.  Field System Machining has set the possibilities curve in on site machining since our 1978 inception.

On Site machining is your lowest cost solution when it absolutely, positively cannot come apart, and/or when the repairs absolutely, positively have to be done in the shortest amount of down time, on site.  On Site machining is the fastest method to machinery repair turnaround, and thus is often the absolute cheapest method given your loss of operating revenue, versus the cost to repair.  Knowing your real numbers is the best way to get your on site machining (a.k.a. onsite machining and on-site machining) project budgeted and approved in a hurry.  Numbers speak louder than words.
