Field System Machining recently completed 30 Hour OSHA Supervisor Safety Training for all machinists and welders--not just lead men, not just shift supervisors, but our entire field machining and welding crews. Field System Machining took this extra step in part of its ongoing mission to provide steel mills, power plants and mills of all types with America's best safety trained on site machinist and welder staff, anywhere.

FSM knows that safe employees are the best employees, but talking about safety is not enough--Training safe working practices takes time, money and discipline. Field System Machining has committed to a culture of safety and spends the money to promote that culture via periodic, scheduled safety training courses. If you would like to know more about our culture of safety,

In the photograph, above, FSM HR and Safety Director Sharon Serpico reviews safe working practices with FSM machinists and welders. OSHA 30 Supervisor Safety Course completion cards were handed out to men at this meeting. While typically only the lead man or shift supervisor holds his 30 Hour Certificate, Field System Machining had each field service employee complete the course. This required devoting four entire days to safety training. This was an expensive endeavor for the company but Field System Machining knows that safety is serious business that saves, not costs, and that is why FSM made this safety investment.
